Extended School Year (Special Education)

Extended School Year (ESY) for students receiving special education services runs for four weeks, June 23 through July 22, 2022 (with July 4 and 5 off due to the holiday). The High School Academic Review class is a six-week program, June 15 through August 1, 2022. ESY programs will be held at Mt. Carmel High School and Design39Campus this summer. For more on ESY, click here

Extended Student Services (ESS)

ESS Summer sessions will begin June 20 and end on August 12, 2022. PUSD is looking for High School Aides and Program Aides to work Monday through Friday, during the hours of 7:30am and 5:30pm. These are perfect opportunities for high school students and college students home for the summer. ESS staff will work directly with kids in kindergarten through 6th grade, providing fun, engaging activities. ESS summer programs are action-packed and will include guest speakers and field trips.

Preschool

Do you love working with preschool-aged children? We are looking for Instructional Assistants to assist preschool teachers in a learning environment designed to develop the physical, cognitive, emotional, creative and social skills of preschool-aged students.

Summer School (General Education)

PUSD's summer school program will run July 5 through July 22, 2022, Monday through Friday 8am - 12pm.  The Middle School program will be based at Bernardo Heights Middle School. The elementary programs will be located at Turtleback, Valley, Creekside and Sunset Hills. This is a 3 week limited term assignment.

Aquatics

PUSD's Summer Swim Programs will run will run between June 13th and August 12th, 2022. Minimum qualifications: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and six months related lifeguarding experience including completion of specialized training in first and water safety instruction and responsibility for swimming instruction (CPR for the Public Safety Personnel, Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Certificate, Lifeguard Training Certificate).
