GED Preparation

The GED® exam is made up of 4 subjects, broken into separate exams: Mathematical Reasoning, Reasoning Through Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science. You don't have to take all 4 exams at once - you can space them out at your own pace. The School helps you prepare for each exam, generally one at a time.

Poway Adult School provides free preparation for the GED tests. You are not required to take a class before taking the GED® tests. However, instruction prior to testing is beneficial. Call us today to sign up for GED Prep!

GED Testing

GED Tests are given by appointment only at Poway Adult School on Tuesdays at 1:30 and 3:00 pm.
When you're ready to test, schedule your test appointment directly at GED Scheduling (requires login).

The minimum age requirement to take the GED® test is 18 unless you meet one of the additional requirements.
To test in California, you must be California resident.
