2024- 2025 New Student Enrollment will open on April 1, 2024 at 8:00 a.m.


2024- 2025 Kindergarten Enrollment

Children with a 5th birthday between September 2, 2023 and September 1, 2024 (born between September 2, 2018 and September 1, 2019) are eligible to enroll in Kindergarten for the 2024-25 school year.

If your child's 5th birthday is between September 2, 2024 and June 2, 2025 (born between September 2, 2019 and June 2, 2020), they will be enrolled in Transitional Kindergarten for the 2024-25 school year.

For students who turn five between June 1, 2024 and September 1, 2024, and whose parents would like them to attend TK rather than Kindergarten, you must first enroll your child in their age appropriate grade of Kindergarten. Parents of eligible students will have an opportunity to add their student to a TK Interest List within the digital enrollment packet. Parents must complete a New Enrollment Online Registration packet to receive access to the TK interest list link. The TK interest list link will become available during the registration process to birth date eligible students only. The TK Interest List will be open from April 1, 2024, at 8 a.m. through April 12, 2024, at 5 p.m. *The TK Interest List is only open to students living within PUSD boundaries.

Please note: TK placement is NOT guaranteed. Students will be seated on a space-available basis according to the TK Interest List. 

PUSD is aware of the amendment to California Education Code 48000(c) that permits school districts the option to enroll students who turn 5 after June 2nd,2025 to be admitted to the TK program.  PUSD has reviewed this option and will only enroll students into TK who turn 5 by June 2, 2025.
