2026 Summer Reminders Email:
|
As we wrap up the school year, please review some important information and reminders regarding your PUSD insurance benefits. Retirement & Resignation Resources If your employment is terminating or you are retiring in June or July, please note that your current district benefits will terminate on 8/31/2026. You will receive a letter mailed to your home address regarding your health plan termination, and any applicable retiree benefits or COBRA enrollment invitation, by mid-August. · For those retiring: You can find helpful information and next steps on our Retiree Resources website. · For those resigning/employment terminating: Please review COBRA health plans and rates in the 2026 COBRA Benefit Guide.
Important Summer Reminders Beyond employment changes, here are a few other items to keep in mind as we head into summer: · Paycheck Deductions and Opt-Out Funds: No insurance premiums will be deducted nor opt-out funds deposited during the months of July and August. All PUSD premiums are calculated on a tenthly basis, regardless of contracted months worked or 10/12 pay plans. Tenthly is defined as the ten months: January through June and September through December. Benefit coverage continues through July and August even without payroll deductions. · Contact Information: Check Selerix to ensure your home address, phone, and personal email are correct. If updates are needed, click here. · Life Events : Summer is a popular time for life changes. If you have a qualifying life event, such as getting married, having a baby, or losing/gaining other coverage, and wish to change your benefit elections, you must log into Selerix via MyPlan and submit your changes within 30 days of the event. Make sure to upload required verification. · Employee Care Center (ECC) : Remember, you have year-round access to The Baldwin Group Employee Care Center. They can help with claims issues, ID cards, finding doctors, and more: (800) 699-0424, 5am-5pm M-F, or [email protected]. · Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) : If you have a Healthcare or Dependent Care FSA, summer is a great time to submit any outstanding receipts for reimbursement. · Dental and Vision appointments: From dental cleanings to vision exams to a new pair of glasses, summer is a great time to utilize your dental and vision coverage benefits.
