COVID Information

COVID related notifications are sent via email. Please make sure you
check your email daily for any notifications you may receive. Close contact
notifications are time sensitive and require a response from parent/guardian.


Chromebook Help (grades 3-5)

If you need help with your child’s PUSD Chromebook after school or on the
weekend, you can email PUSDITHelp@powayusd.com. Students can
also bring their Chromebook to Mrs. Poole in our library and she will assist
them.


Book Fair

Get ready, Book Fair is back! Come to the MPR all week and have a spooky good time. Classes will be visiting during the week to shop, and we will be open before and after school. Money raised from the Book Fair is used to purchase books for our school library and classrooms. And back by popular demand, the Coin-a-Day Challenge returns! Students are encouraged to bring in change throughout the week to their class. There will be Pennies on Monday, Nickels on Tuesday, Dimes on Wednesday, Quarters on Thursday, and Wild Card Friday where donations of any value are welcome. The top 3 classrooms that collect the highest total amounts will receive upgrades to their classroom reading areas. And the grade that collects the most donations will earn an extra recess! Fall Parade

This year we will celebrate our Red Ribbon and Character Counts Spirit Week with a Fall Parade.  Students may wear school appropriate costumes to the parade.  Click here for the costume guidelines.  Families are invited to attend.  The Fall Parade will take place on our track.  Students will arrive at school by 8:15am and go to their classroom.  We will open the gates to the fire lane behind the D mall for families at 8:25am.  Families will have a designated area to view the parade on the playground.  The parade will begin at 8:30am.  Once the parade has finished, families will exit the school grounds through the same gates they entered.  For safety reasons, families will not be allowed to go to classrooms or in the track area.  v


Red Ribbon Week and Character Counts

Shoal Creek celebrates Red Ribbon & Character Counts Week (flyer) by highlighting the Six Pillars of Character! Minimum Day on November 1st

Monday November 1st is a minimum day with dismissal at 11:55am.  Staff will be engaged in professional development in the afternoon.  We appreciate you making a note of this date and picking up your child at 11:55am.


Halloween Candy Bar Bingo

It’s not too late to sign up for our Halloween Bingo on Saturday October 30th from 2 - 4 PM. Get your Halloween costume ready and sign up online to reserve your Bingo spot at https://signup.com/go/MOCyWZv. The price is $5 per player. Both students and parents are welcome to play. Registered players pay, park and play at the Shoal Creek parking lot. We ask that you stay with your car to give everyone enough elbow room. The games start at 2 PM. Hope to see you there!


Parent Conference Week

Parent conferences will take place November 15th-November 19th, 2021.  Monday November 15th is a non-student day. Tuesday November 16th-Friday November 19th are minimum days and dismissal is at 11:55am.  More information regarding parent conferences to come soon.


PTA Run Club

We need your help to keep our students running! We are looking for volunteers to help set up, distribute and scan run cards Tuesday and Thursday mornings at Run Club. If you can help out please contact shoalcreekrunclub@gmail.com to get more information. Thank you for your support of Shoal Creek’s Run Club!


Volunteer Requirements

As the volunteer restrictions are beginning to change, we want you to be aware of the volunteer requirements that must be completed before you may volunteer during the school day.  Click here to get the forms and information you need to know before volunteering.  In addition to the TB test and Megan’s Law background check, volunteers must also show proof of COVID vaccination or negative COVID test results.  At this time, 1-2  volunteers for each class will be allowed on campus.  Volunteers are able to assist teachers inside and outside the classroom.  Masks are required for all volunteers.  Volunteers must make arrangements with the classroom teacher before coming onto campus.  All volunteers must sign-in and out through the front office.
