In-Person Students: Return checked-out PUSD Chromebooks AND chargers anytime during June 7th through 9th to their classrooms.

Virtual Students:  We will be collecting devices from your families on the last day of school, June 18th, in a curbside drop-off format (after-school time to be determined).  If your child is able to use a personal device, you are welcome to return the PUSD Chromebook AND charger to the office prior to June 18th.

Make an Impact Campaign

Thank you to all of you who have already generously donated to our Make an Impact fundraising campaign. We are well on our way to raising the funds we need to be able to support the school with educational programs and subscriptions, impact and music teachers next year, but we could use more help. If you haven't had a chance to contribute yet, please consider doing so shortly by donating any amount on Remember, if you donate now, your gift to our otters will go twice as far, since a generous donor has come forward and is willing to match the next $5,000 in donations, which is amazing!

As always, we thank you for your support!

We are a "No Place for Hate" school!

Face Coverings

As you are likely aware, the CDC on Thursday updated its guidelines regarding the use of face coverings for individuals fully vaccinated for COVID-19. As of this writing, state and county health and education officials have not issued any directions or updated guidelines as it applies to schools in response to this change by the CDC. Masks will continue to be required in all PUSD settings for all employees, students, and families, as previously required. The County is seeking clarification from the CDPH, which is expected in the near future. If and when this changes, we will be sure to communicate with all of you, to ensure that there is no confusion.

Otter Romp

Does your student have a birthday in May or June or is your student promoting Shoal Creek this year? Celebrate them and surprise them with an Otter Romp. We are currently accepting reservations for May and June and would love to come decorate your front yard with otter signs and colorful flowers. Email us to reserve your date at

Virtual Library

We are excited to announce that the Shoal Creek Virtual Library is now available. Students can place books on hold for delivery to their classroom, or for our VLA learners, they can get them on Wednesdays at the Library  Pick -up Box located in front of the office.

To learn more about how this works, visit the Shoal Creek Library Canvas Page. There you can find information about our Otter Virtual Library, such as how to place a book on hold and the safety precautions we take.

Please contact our new Librarian  Mrs. Poole (Spoole@powayusd) if you have any questions.

This is a friendly reminder that we need families to return any library books from last year that were checked out and not returned. The books can be dropped off in the Library return box in front of the office or brought back to your classroom. If you are unable to locate them, please purchase an exact duplicate or reimburse the school for the cost of the book. Contact Mrs. Poole with any questions.
