•   February is Black History Month

African Americans have played an important role in creating and defining our nation. Shoal Creek will celebrate Black History Month with special book displays and readings in the library. Our Librarian, Mrs. Ouellet, will read a story or biography to classes. Classroom activities will include biographies of influential African Americans. Friday Flag will feature famous music by African Americans.  We will also have an assembly with a story teller who highlights Black History Month through music, stories, narrative and inter-active participation.
