Notice of Public Hearing – Statutory School Facility Fees for New Construction
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE POWAY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT APPROVING TO MAINTAIN STATUTORY SCHOOL FACILITY FEES IMPOSED ON NEW RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTION PURSUANT TO EDUCATION CODE SECTION 17620 AND GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 65995
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Education (“Board”) of the Poway Unified School District ("School District") will hold a Public Hearing at its Regular Meeting to be held on May 14, 2026, to allow for public comment prior to consideration of its report titled “School Facilities Fee Justification Report” ("Fee Study"), and consider adopting a resolution of the Board of the School District to increase Statutory School Facility Fees Imposed on New Residential and Commercial/Industrial Construction Pursuant to Education Code Section 17620 and Government Code Section 65995. The Fee Study will be available electronically on the Poway Unified School District website www.powayusd.com under Public Information and on the Developer Fee Page, and in the Facilities office, building 900, located at 13626 Twin Peaks Rd. Poway, CA 92064. The report will be available for public review from April 30, 2026 through May 14, 2026.
The Public Hearing of the School District, to be held May 14, 2026 will begin at 6:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as practicable, at the Community Room at the Poway Unified School District Office, located at 15250 Avenue of Science, San Diego, California. These matters will be considered at such time as this agenda item is considered by the Board of the School District.

Notice of Public Hearing - Local Control and Accountability Plan
Please be advised that Poway Unified School District (PUSD) will be requesting approval of the 2025-26 Annual Update to the 2024-2027 Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) and the 2024-2027 Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP). As part of the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF), school districts are required to develop, adopt, and annually update a three-year LCAP. The LCAP is required to identify goals and measure progress for student subgroups across multiple performance indicators.
Any persons interested in expressing recommendations, comments, and/or written comments regarding specific actions proposed in the LCAP may do so at a public hearing to be held by the PUSD Board of Education at a regularly scheduled meeting on June 5, 2025, at the Poway Unified School District Office, 15250 Avenue of Science, San Diego, CA 92128-3406 at 6:00 p.m. Additional information regarding the LCAP and update is available by contacting the office of the Associate Superintendent, Learning Support Services at the Poway Unified School District Office.

In accordance with the provisions of the Education Code Section 42103, you are hereby notified of the preparation of the proposed Annual Financial and Budget Report of the Poway Unified School District, for school year 2025-26.
The proposed budget, computed district tax requirement, and any recommendations made by the Superintendent of Schools, San Diego County, shall be available for public inspection on June 1, 2025, to June 5, 2025, 8:00 AM to 5:00PM. NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING OF THE POWAY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT RELATIVE TO THE ADOPTION OF INFORMATION MADE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC IN THE FORM OF AN ANNUAL REPORTABLE FEES REPORT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2024-2025 IN COMPLIANCE WITH GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 66001 AND 66006
Please be advised the Board of Education (“Board”) of the Poway Unified School District, at its regular meeting to be held on December 11, 2025, will review the Annual Report for the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 (“Report”) in compliance with Government Code Section 66006.
The Board meeting begins at 6:00 p.m., on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at the Poway Unified School District, Community Room, located at 15250 Avenue of Science, San Diego, California 92128. The Report will be considered at such time by the Board.
The Report will be available for public review for a period of at least 15 calendar days beginning November 21, 2025, online at www.powayusd.com and in the Planning Department of the Poway Unified School District located at 13626 Twin Peaks Rd Building 900 Poway, CA 92064 and is herein incorporated by reference.
