Developer Fees
Effective July 12, 2022
The California State Allocation Board, at it's February 2022 meeting, authorized an increase in Level 1 school impact (developer) fees, and was approved by Poway Unified School District’s Board of Education on May 12, 2022.
With the increase in Level 1 fee exceeding the approved Level 2 fee, the District will suspend the collection of Level 2 fees until a new School Facilities Needs Analysis is prepared to justify its collection. In order to impose Alternative School Fees on new residential construction within the District, the Poway Unified School District prepares and adopts a "School Facilities Needs Analysis" (SFNA) at least once annually as required by applicable law. The 2019 SFNA, dated September 12, 2019 was prepared and adopted by the Governing Board at their meeting on September 12, 2019.
