 To report/EXCUSE your student’s absence:

Please call the ATTENDANCE HOTLINE at 1-858-676-6565 or email and provide the following information:
  • Your full name & relationship to the student
  • Your contact number
  • Your student’s full name
  • Reason for the absence
(Please do not leave attendance related messages on our Welcome Center main line, as messages may not be retrieved in time. Additionally, please note that LEDs do not have the ability to clear absences.)
If you have any doctor/dental/medical notes that you would like to provide please do so at any time as these types of appointments are medically excused.

*At this time we ask families participating in in-person learning to not pick-up your child(ren) early or arrive late unless their is an emergency.  

Late Arrivals:

If you are running late or are arriving late to school due to an appointment, please bring your student to the Welcome Center and sign them in on the HelpCounter computer under the Student Arriving Late screen prompt.  After checking them in, if would you like to walk your student to their classroom we ask that you please sign in as a Visitor and wear your badge while on campus.

Early Departures:

You may leave a message on the ATTENDANCE HOTLINE 858-676-6565 24 hours in advance.  For same day early departures, please contact the Welcome Center at 858-676-6639 and speak with us live.  Please do not leave messages on main line for early release, as messages may not be retrieved in time.

§  NOTE: We are not able to guarantee last minute requests for early departure.  Your patience & understanding is appreciated.

For immediate pick up at the Welcome Center due to last minute emergencies, we ask that you allow 15-20 minutes for us to help your child to return to their homeroom and happily help them gather all of their belongings. We appreciate your patience & understanding!
