Honoring our Falcons

At Oak Valley we believe it is paramount to honor our Falcons for their academic and character achievements.  Here are some of the ways we honor the work of our Falcon Students:
 
Caught Soaring Character Award
Staff and students can recognize Falcons who display acts of kindness and school pride with a Caught Soaring Award.
 
Breakfast of Champions
The Oak Valley Falcon Foundation hosts a breakfast for the students who best demonstrate the aspects of the Character Counts pillars: Responsibility, Fairness, Trustworthiness, Respect, Caring and Citizenship.
 
Presidential Education Award for Outstanding Excellence with Distinction
This is given to all promoting 8th grade students who have achieved a three year cumulative grade point average of 3.5-3.99 while at Oak Valley.  Students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher while in each grade level.  Students are awarded a certificate at promotion and are indicated in the program.
 
Presidential Education Award for Outstanding Excellence with Honors
This is given to all promoting 8th grade students who have achieved a three year cumulative grade point average of 4.0 while at Oak Valley.  Students are awarded a medal and certificate at promotion and are indicated in the program.
 
Heart of Oak Valley Award
This award is given to two promoting students each year who inspired our school community and demonstrated all of the Character Counts Pillars, Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship.
 
Oak Valley’s Falcon Award
This award is given to two promoting 8th grade students each year who showed great interest in the community of Oak Valley, held a strong grade point average, participated in school events, demonstrated strong leadership, showed enthusiasm, involvement school-wide, and maintained good citizenship.
