The goal of AVID is to support students in achieving college readiness and preparedness while developing a strong sense community through family and togetherness.


Our AVID leaders are:
AVID Elective for 7th and 8th grade

AVID, Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a nation-wide program offered at Oak Valley to 7th and 8th grade students.   AVID as a one period, yearlong elective, which students apply to.  The goal of AVID is to help students develop the skills they need to be successful in middle school, high school and college. The program places special emphasis on growing writing, critical thinking, teamwork, organization, reading and social-emotional skills.  For more information on Oak Valley's AVID program
