Christine Cudmore

Counselor - HUB 2

Christine Cudmore has worked in education for more than 10 years, and she has been a school counselor at Westview since the 2007-2008 school year. She received her B.A. in Psychology from Sonoma State University and her M.A. in Counseling from the University of San Diego, with her Pupil Personnel Services Credential. Christine is an active member of the American School Counselor Association and a Nationally Certified Counselor by the Board of Behavioral Sciences. Christine is the counselor for students whose homeroom teachers are in the Science and ENS departments. She also serves as the AVID Counselor representative, and she manages the annual course registration process.

Christine loves working in the high school setting because she believes this is such an important time for students' self-discovery and personal growth. She is passionate about helping students to find a place where they can connect on campus and encourage their academic, personal, and social growth. She believes that her role as a school counselor is to support students in eliminating social and emotional barriers to learning, and she strives to do this with every one of her students. She also enjoys helping students set goals for their future and helping them plan out steps toward achieving these goals.

Christine is a product of the Poway Unified School District and is glad to give back to the community where she was raised. Outside of Westview, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and extended family and friends.
