In preparation for Ms. Castellucci's visit we completed a
Word Search, Crossword,
Cryptogram, and/or
Cosplay Superhero Drawing for raffle ticket(s) and a chance to win Cecil Castellucci's new book
Don't Cosplay with My Heart. The raffle drawing took place at the Author's Visit at lunch on Feb. 16 in Titan Center. Nidhi won the raffle. Ms. Castellucci did not have time to finish answering all the questions posed by the audience at lunch, but she sent her answers. Photos of the event and questions & answers follow.

Girls Gone SciFi Authors came to PHS March 20, 2015

On Friday, March 20, 2015 we hosted 4 young adult science fiction authors. They spoke to classes 4th period and then met with any interested students and staff in Titan Center at lunch. In anticipation of their visit the library will hosted two contests: an online daily trivia contest and a coloring contest. For more information about the authors see the web page

Melissa de la Cruz

Melissa de la Cruz grew up in Manila, Philippines and moved to San Francisco with her family in 1985. She graduated high school salutatorian from The Convent of the Sacred Heart. Ms de la Cruz went to Columbia University and graduated with a B.A. with majors in art history and English (and minors in nightclubs and shopping!)
She has worked as a computer programmer, a journalist and fashion/beauty editor. She published her first article when she was 25. She has numerous NY Times bestsellers, both written for adults and young adults.
