This week Del Norte Student Services and ASB in partnership with the
Friends & Family Community Connection will begin collecting
non-perishable food items and gift cards to create holiday “food kits” for
local families in need. Each kit should include:
● Canned Cranberry Sauce
● Canned Corn
● Corn Bread Mix
● Canned Sweet Potatoes/Yams
● Canned Green Beans
● Gravy (Canned, Jar or Mix)
● 1 Roll of Aluminum Foil
● Small bottle of cooking oil
● 3-$10 gift card to Ralphs or Sprouts for turkey
● Shopping bag to hold all items
*Please check expiration dates
The completed kits will be donated to the Friends & Family Community
Connection to distribute to Nighthawk families and other PowayUSD
families in need. Last year, the FFCC was able to help over 900 families
and our goal is to help more this year.
Donations will be coordinated and collected in your homeroom class. If
