Speak Up Survey 2020

This year, Poway Unified School District is participating in the national Speak Up Research Initiative to seek feedback from teachers, students, staff, and parents to help us improve learning for all students. Since 2003, over 5 million  K-12 teachers, students, staff, and parents have shared their ideas about education technology through the Speak Up online surveys, and we need your ideas too. The survey is free to us and will be used to help us plan for the future so we need to hear from all of you.
The survey window is open from January 13 - January 22, 2020. 

  Intradistrict Transfer Timeline

If you live in the Poway Unified School District boundaries and are interested in requesting a transfer to a school that is not your school of residence, you must submit a request during the transfer window of February 1 – March 31, 2020. No transfer requests will be accepted outside of this window, no exceptions. Parent Communications: Mindful Moment 2019-20
Dear Sunset Hills Families,
During the 2018-19 school wide Thoughtexchange survey, you offered many ideas on how to best support our students. One of the concerns raised was our students’ social-emotional learning and mental health wellness. Many of you pointed out the need to help students reduce their stress and anxiety, and to help students deal with academic and social pressures.

One way we are doing this is by implementing a “Mindful Moment” each day at all PUSD schools, starting this school year. At Sunset Hills we are calling this the practice the “ mindful minute.” ...
