Pomerado Elementary School Educational Foundation

Pomerado Elementary Foundation is pleased to welcome you back for the 2018-2019 school year!

The purpose of our Foundation is to provide additional financial support to Pomerado Elementary School. Donations enable the school to enhance the learning experience for our children today and students of the future.

  2. This year our collaborative partnership with PTA emphasizes INVOLVEMENT.  There are so many different ways to become involved in school activities: at home, at work and at school. We can find the right project for you --- just show your interest!
The Foundation needs your commitment to continue bringing vital programs to our children.  Our previous fundraising efforts made BrainPop available to all grade levels and supplied educational iPad applications for teachers.
Supporting technology is one of our main focuses.
We are also committed to sending children on field trips, such as the Midway Museum, a college tour, the Natural History Museum, The San Diego Zoo and Birch Aquarium.
These trips become obsolete without your support.

  3. First of all, check the school Calendar. We try very hard to get our dates firmed up by the end of the school year to publish in the calendar which is distributed the first day of school.  Because events are planned a year in advance, sometimes there are changes. Please check your kids backpacks! We try to publicize each event with at least two flyers. Then check the newsletter. This is FIVE notifications of each event!

 4. Please contact Crystal Glenwinkel at  PomeradoFoundation@gmail.com. You may also leave a note and contact information in the Foundation mailbox in the workroom.

 5. To meet their goals, the Foundation has worked hard to build fundraising opportunities that do not include having students sell products. This year the Foundation will hold a "no fuss" fall fundraising campaign as well as their annual spring time Fun Run. The Foundation is not restricted in the type of fundraising or the specificity of how to spend money and can carry money over from year to year to support long term goals. We are fortunate to have a group of parents with the vision and commitment to create this incredible opportunity for our school and especially for our children.
Many companies offer matching gift programs to encourage employees to contribute to charitable organizations. Most of these programs match contributions dollar for dollar, and some will even double or triple the amount of your gift!
