Pomerado new Foundation

Pomerado PAWs (Parents And Wildcats)
Hello Pomerado Wildcat Parents.  We would like to introduce ourselves.  We are PAWs or Pomerado Parents and Wildcats.  This title is going to be our new foundation for Pomerado.  We will be writing messages every month to let you know about all the goings on at Pomerado.  There are many ways to stay connected.

Hello Parents,
Pomerado PAWs (Parents and Wildcats) is excited to get you connected this school year!
Thank you to everyone who signed up to volunteer for our open chair positions.  If you have not heard from us and signed up for a chair position, please reply to this email so we can get you connected for your area/event.
September Volunteer Opportunities:

  •        Friday Flag and Pomerado’s 60th Birthday Celebration (Fri, 9/2) – We will need help passing out donuts to students before school.  Sign up here
  •        Poway Days Parade (Sat, 9/10) – Bring your family to represent Pomerado Elementary as we walk down Poway Road.  Check the Sunday email for more details
  •        Fall Festival Planning Meeting (Mon, 9/12 @ 5:30 – 6:30 PM in the MPR) – Help us plan the details for our big Fall event (stations, crafts, food vendors, entertainment).  We need your input and help to make this family-fun event a success!

If you have a skill, talent, or resource you want to use to serve our school, please let us know. If you see a need on campus that you can help with, we’d love to hear from you!
Other areas:  You can volunteer as your student’s Room Parent (please check with your student’s teacher on this), volunteer to help in the library for a weekly shift (please contact ecomstock@powayusd.com for this) or volunteer to serve on our School Site Council (please apply here).
Finally and most important, if you are volunteering on campus , you must get approved per District Requirements before your volunteer shift.  You can stop by the front office or visit the Pomerado website (https://www.powayusd.com/en-US/Schools/ES/POES/Home), click on “Parents,” then click “Volunteers,” and see the requirements.

Buenas estimados padres,
