•   Absence Procedure

Staying home when you are sick is one of our best ways to fight COVID-19. Keeping sick children and children who are exposed to COVID-19 away from others helps stop the spread of the virus to other children, staff, and the surrounding community. Parents and guardians can use the COVID Decision Chart  to understand when their child can attend
school, youth programs, and child care during COVID-19.  Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19:

  •   Return to School 2021

We hope you all had a safe and happy Holiday Break. As a reminder, because we are being cautious, we will be returning to school on January 4th virtually for all, even if you are an in-person student.  Your classroom teacher has been in contact with you to provide information on what these first two weeks of learning in January will look like for your child.   All in-person students will return to in-person learning on January 19th.  VLA students will continue their learning day as before.

Don’t forget that January 18th, Martin Luther King Holiday, is a non-student day for everyone.

If your child is an on-campus student and is ill during the weeks of virtual learning, please call our attendance hotline to report any illness so we can determine the appropriate date for his/return to school.  Here’s the attendance hotline number.   1-858-485-4876

Be safe. Be kind. Be responsible. Be Stallion Strong!  See you on February 1st!

  •   Character Counts for January-February 2021

January and February’s Super Power: Fairness
“That’s not fair!!” Sound familiar? It’s commonly heard from people of all ages. We often think of situations that put us at a disadvantage as “unfair.” Although some decisions are clearly unfair, the fact is that there is usually more than one fair choice.
