  •   SCHOOL CLOSURE - MARCH 16 THROUGH APRIL 3

    VISIT PUSD CORONAVIRUS UPDATES PAGE  
    PUSD schools will be closed for the next three weeks, from Monday, March 16 through Friday, April 3, unless conditions call for an extension. NOTE: Spring Break will remain at its regularly scheduled time of April 13-17, 2020. During the emergency closure, the District Office will be operating to ensure continuity of essential District functions, but will be closed to the public.  Click on the announcement for the full message.

  •   Continuing Student Registration April 1-April 30, 2020.

    Parents and Guardians will receive email notification once the website is open. We must receive a completed digital packet for all returning students. This will allow for proper placement of your student for the 2020-2021 school year. This annual digital process will allow a family to complete one single “family” packet instead of completing one packet per student. Packets can be completed using any computer, tablet or smartphone with an internet connection. If you do not have access to any computing device or internet connection, your student’s school will provide access to complete the packet. READ MORE...


  •   TK Interest Wait List Information 2020-2021

    Parents of children with a fifth birthday between June 1st and September 1st  who wish to enroll their child into a TK class, rather than a Kindergarten class, MUST place their child’s name on a District Interest Wait List.  Click through to find the steps for parents/guardians to take if they would like their child to attend TK rather than Kindergarten for the 2020-2021 school year.  Please note that this is a new process.  Information can also be found on the PUSD website as well. 


  •   School Tours

    For new Canyon View Elementary students, we will be holding school tours on the following dates - Tuesday, May 19th @2:30 pm and Wednesday, June 17th @9:00 am.

  •   Month of Military Child

    "PURPLE UP" - April 8th Canyon View Elementary is celebrating the Month of the Military Child. This will be CVES first “Purple Up!” and we are inviting all students, staff and community members to wear purple. Purple indicates that all branches of the military are supported; Air Force blue, Army green, Navy blue, Marine red, and Coast Guard blue all thought to combine together as a single color, purple.  On April 8th, we will be recognizing military children during the morning announcements, with Westview High School JROTC presenting colors on the blacktop at approximately 8:10am with the entire student body.  We invite all CVES military families to attend our school’s morning announcements and pledge of allegiance with your student(s).   •   Intradistrict Transfer Timeline

    If you live in the Poway Unified School District boundaries and are interested in requesting a transfer to a school that is not your school of residence, you must submit a request during the transfer window of February 1 – March 31, 2020. No transfer requests will be accepted outside of this window, no exceptions.
