Summer Aquatics Program
The Summer Aquatics Program runs from June to July at Mt. Carmel High School. Opening and closing dates will be provided as we move closer to June.
Summer Only Lifeguard
Position Overview
Under general supervision, this seasonal position is responsible for lifeguarding primarily during summer community programs.
Salary Information
- PUSD Classification Salary Range: $17.38 – $22.23 per hour
- Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $17.38 per hour (step 1) – $20.15 per hour (step 4)
Required Certifications
Candidates must provide copies of current and valid certifications, or proof of registration in a class to obtain the required certification(s):
- Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
- First Aid
- First Aid for Public Safety Personnel
Onboarding Requirements
New to PUSD candidates must complete all onboarding requirements prior to the start date, including:
- TB test
- LiveScan
- Fingerprinting
Valid certification and completed onboarding are required to be cleared to start.
Examples of Duties
- Supervise swimmers and maintain discipline and order in and around pool facilities
- Assist in maintaining a clean and sanitary pool and facility environment
- Administer first aid as necessary
- Perform related duties as assigned
