eBike Safety
- In response to community requests and a desire to address a student safety need, PUSD has partnered with local law enforcement to create a mandatory safety training video and implemented an e-bike permit process at all secondary school sites for students riding e-bikes to school. Parents/guardians will be required to register the make, model and VIN# of the e-bike with your school in order to receive a parking sticker. Please reach out to your school site with any questions.
To ensure the safety of our youngest students, PUSD guidelines strictly prohibit the use of e-bikes on all elementary school campuses. This policy aligns with the new City of Poway regulations effective late 2025, which state that children under the age of 12 are not permitted to operate e-bikes.
