Students can challenge themselves with rigorous, college-level coursework and earn credit through Advanced Placement (AP) exams recognized by colleges nationwide.

Overview

Advanced Placement courses in most academic disciplines are offered on high school campuses and align with College Board standards. Students take fee-based AP exams in May; a qualifying score may earn college credit depending on the institution and the exam score.
Students who pass the course may receive weighted high school credit. Students should work with their high school counselor to enroll in AP courses and learn specifics about fees and testing.
