Together, they bring decades of experience spanning classroom instruction, school and district administration, career technical and adult education, and innovative instructional leadership. David Guzman - Director, Career Technical and Adult Education David Guzman has been appointed Director of Career Technical and Adult Education, bringing more than 25 years of experience in education and leadership. He most recently served as Assistant Director of Poway Adult School and previously served as an Engineering Teacher on Special Assignment in Poway Unified. Before joining PUSD, Guzman served as a JROTC teacher and program manager in San Diego Unified and brings additional leadership experience from his military service. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Texas A&M University, a Master of Arts in Management and Business Administration from Webster University, a Master of Science in Educational Administration from National University, and a Master of Arts in Athletic Administration from Concordia University. Bilingual and widely respected for his servant-leadership approach, Guzman brings a strong commitment to preparing students for success in college, career, and beyond. |

Kellie Moore - Principal, Rancho Bernardo High School Kellie Moore has been appointed Principal of Rancho Bernardo High School, bringing 17 years of experience in education and a strong connection to the school community. She most recently served as Principal of Mesa Verde Middle School and previously served as Assistant Principal at Rancho Bernardo High School from 2016 to 2021. Her career also includes service at Coronado High School as a teacher, ASB Director, and WASC Coordinator. Moore holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Fullerton, and a Master of Education with a Single Subject Credential from National University. A collaborative, student-centered, and equity-focused secondary school leader, Moore is committed to creating a school environment where students are supported, challenged, and empowered to succeed. |

Dr. Bobby Caughey - Principal, Mesa Verde Middle School Dr. Bobby Caughey has been appointed Principal of Mesa Verde Middle School, bringing 23 years of experience in education across grades TK–12. He most recently served as Principal and Design Facilitator of Design39Campus and previously served as Principal of Connect Academy in Poway Unified. His leadership experience also includes serving as Assistant Principal at La Costa Canyon High School and San Dieguito High School Academy, as well as a Teacher on Special Assignment and classroom teacher. Caughey holds a Doctor of Education in Organizational Change and Leadership from the University of Southern California, a Master of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences from San Diego State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from San Diego State University. A dynamic educational leader, he is committed to strengthening student achievement through effective curriculum implementation, collaborative problem-solving, clear communication, and continuous improvement. |

Jessica Morales - Principal TK-8/Design Facilitator, Design39Campus Jessica Morales has been appointed Principal TK-8/Design Facilitator of Design39Campus, bringing 25 years of experience in education and a career dedicated to future-ready teaching and learning. She most recently served as Assistant Superintendent of Leadership and Instruction for the Chula Vista Elementary School District, where she also served as Area Assistant Superintendent. Her previous roles include Director of Curriculum and Instruction and Professional Learning Developer in the Del Mar Union School District, Principal of Carmel Del Mar School, Assistant Principal at Calavera Hills Elementary and Middle Schools, and classroom teacher. Morales holds a Master of Education from California State University San Marcos and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley. She brings a proven record of developing innovative instructional programs, cultivating strong relationships, and building future-focused learning environments that support the continued growth of students and staff. |

Lauren LeMaster- Principal, Pomerado Elementary School Lauren LeMaster has been appointed Principal of Pomerado Elementary School, bringing 19 years of experience in education. She most recently served as Assistant Principal at both Westwood and Monterey Ridge elementary schools and previously served as a Teacher on Special Assignment and elementary classroom teacher. LeMaster holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from National University and a Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Development from San Diego State University. She is passionate about fostering positive school culture, strengthening instructional practices, and improving student outcomes through collaborative leadership. Her experience includes instructional leadership, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), data-informed decision-making, and family engagement. |

Joe Prosapio - Principal, Sunset Hills Elementary School Joe Prosapio has been appointed Principal of Sunset Hills Elementary School, bringing 30 years of experience serving students from TK through high school. He most recently served as Principal of Berry Elementary School in the South Bay Union School District and previously served as Principal of Daly Academy in the Chula Vista Elementary School District. His career also includes roles as an Employment Transition Specialist and teacher in California and Illinois, with extensive experience in special education. Prosapio holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from St. Xavier University and a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education with a minor in Behavioral Disorders from Illinois State University. Guided by his professional mission, “To positively impact the trajectory of the families, teams, and community I serve,” Prosapio believes schools are strongest when students, families, and educators work together toward a common goal. |
