SAN DIEGO, CA — The Poway Unified School District Board of Education has appointed longtime educator and administrator Gayle Olson as the district’s newest Personnel Commissioner.

Gayle Olson began her career in education in 1970 and brings 37 years of exemplary experience marked by progressive responsibility and dedicated service to students, families, and school communities. Her professional background includes serving as Director of Student Support Services for Vista Unified School District, Director of Student Services for Fallbrook Union High School District, and both Principal and Assistant Principal for Fallbrook Union High School District. She has also served as a counselor, psychologist, and teacher in multiple districts. Recognized for her integrity, confidentiality, and meticulous attention to detail, Olson is deeply committed to public education and brings a wealth of knowledge in student services, special education oversight, legal matters, and organizational support. She looks forward to contributing meaningfully to the district’s continued commitment to excellence. |
