- Senior Project Panelists Needed
- Poway High School’s Senior Project has become a wonderful tradition for our students and the community. It was developed to add relevance and rigor in the senior year. The Senior Project represents a year-long commitment by each student to complete a meaningful real life experience in a work or community service related area.
- This year, the Poway High School Class of 2013 will present their Senior Projects on Friday, May 31. Panelists are needed to observe and critique presentations. They help to make this a meaningful day for our graduating class. Panelists will meet in the PCPA at 11:30 am and will serve until approximately 3:30 pm. If you are interested, please call Susie Warriner at 858-748-0245 X5105 to be a part of this wonderful event.

- Summer School
- Poway Summer School will be Remedial ONLY this year, and will be located at Poway High School. This general education summer school will be an abbreviated form of summer school, invitation-only program, offered for remediation purposes only to the following students:
- • Students who are significantly behind in graduation credits with priority given to incoming 12th and incoming 11th graders
• Students who have earned an "F" in a core academic subject
• Students eligible for summer school will be notified by our automated system through a phone call home and your email that is on file with us.
• On a space-available basis, students who have earned a "D" in a core academic subject. - Students with D's may come the first day of each semester ONLY to enroll in any open seats. Having D's in previous classes, involvement in special programs on campus, and wanting to "get ahead" in classes are not reasons for eligibility. There are no forms or registration materials prior to the first day of class. Taking summer school classes at schools or colleges outside of Poway Unified School District is a great way to pursue advancement in subject matter. However, any class taken must be approved by the PHS registrar before taking the class. Forms for approval are available in the registrar's office. Note: Palomar Community College closes their registration system in April typically. Students wanting to enroll in classes must have an account created with Palomar prior to Palomar's deadline.
- Summer School will be on the Poway High School campus this year.
