Hello, this is Dr. Miguel Carrillo, proud Principal of Meadowbrook Middle School with your weekly reminders.

First - Thank you to our PE teachers, parents and students for a successful PE-A-Thon fundraiser for our school! Donations to the Meadowbrook Educational Foundation totaled over $7,400! The money collected is badly needed to fund classroom projects and purchase educational materials that the current budget crisis eliminated. You can learn more about the Meadowbrook Educational Foundation, including the allocation of these funds, in the next Meadowbrook Matters Newsletter.

Second - There will be a PTSA Association meeting on Wed, Nov 18 at 7pm in our school library with a special presentation by PUSD Assoc Superintendent, Mr. Bill Chiment, regarding county guidelines on H1N1. A flyer and the meeting agenda will come home with your student on Monday Nov. 6th.

Third – Please join me at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 10th in our school library for another “Coffee w/the Principal.”

Fourth – Meadowbrook will be having our fall Book Fair the week of Nov. 16th to 20th in the Meadowbrook Library and will be open during school hours. 60% of all money earned will go directly to buy books for our library. Please check out our website where you will find a link to preview the books.

Fifth - Our Meadowbrook Educational Foundation would like to remind you again to register for your e-scrip membership with your local grocery store. Immediate registration can be done at www.powayusd.com/pusdmbms/MEF/fundraisers.shtml using our group # 6663459. This is a no-expense fundraiser for you and our school. We encourage you to participate.

Lastly – Wednesday, Nov. 11th is Veterans Day. There will be no school on that day.
