Meadowbrook Advanced Orchestra, Wind Ensemble and Concert Ban
d

Wednesday, April 1, and Thursday, April 2 the Meadowbrook Advanced Orchestra, Wind Ensemble and Concert Band will be performing at the Poway District Music Festival. This event will be held at the Poway Center for Performing Arts near Poway High School.

  •  Concert Band will perform at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday April 1.
  •  Advanced Orchestra will perform at 2:00 p.m. Thursday April 2
  •  Wind Ensemble, 2:45 p.m. Thursday April 2

CRF's  Current 6th and 7th Grades

CRF(Course Request Forms) update Parents and Students – In order to maximize our time and efforts within the constraints of the system, students will not be entering their elective course selection on-line. Be assured, each students’ selection by their ranking will be entered into the system. We use the students’ preferences and build our elective classes to their choices. All students have equal access to classes. Counselors will collect all CRFs through the elective classes this week.

8th Grade Transition

-Attn 8th graders- CRF’s were distributed in your Science class March 4th. Please attend the upcoming high school information nights, fill out your CRF, get a parent signature and enter your selections online. Your choices are not counted unless you enter them in the online system. Return CRFs to science teachers no later than March 26th. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Knock or Ms. Yearing.  


-Parents of 8th graders: Continue to check the high school website that your child will be attending next year to keep updated on upcoming events.

Additional Important Information

  • Poway High School:  REMINDER: Completed CRF forms are due Friday, March 27. Please remember, you must also input your courses through the online registration window. Both are required. Click Here for Online Registration Info.
    •  For any student interested in AP Human Geography this course is being offered to all grades 9 thru 12 for next school year.







Testing Information

  • Language Arts MAPS testing s March 16-April 2
  • Statewide SBAC (Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium) testing will take place at Meadowbrook April 16-May 15. More information will be coming home soon in a parent letter. Your child can gain valuable practice for this test by going into My Plan and clicking on the SBAC Practice Test icon.
  • CST Science for 8th Graders April 29
  • Math MAPS testing End of May-Beginning of June

Yearbook Picture2Parents and students: Do you have pictures from school events? The MBMS yearbook staff is looking for your pictures. Download the attached flyer for directions on how to share your pictures with the yearbook staff.

MBMS MATH CLUB
 The math club meets on Tuesday mornings  at 7:40am in room 121 and the MPR.






Meadowbrook Glee Club: The Glee Club is an optional, after-school, vocal program. The club is freeGlee Club to all students and is taught by volunteer music teacher, Mrs. Angie Serrano.

Our Meadowbrook Educational Foundation is pleased to introduce Scrip, an easy, convenient way to earn money for our school with grocery, gas, restaurant and a variety of other stores.
