AVID Parent Information
As an AVID School Site of Distinction, Twin Peaks Middle School is proud to have one of the strongest AVID programs in San Diego County and across the nation. We would like to invite you and your child to our information meeting. Come and find out information on how to apply for the AVID Elective and pursue their college dreams!!!
What is AVID? AVID stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination and is a four-year, college preparatory program. It is an elective class during the regular school day that provides academic instruction and prepares students to be successful in high school and helps ensure eligibility to a 4-year university. Special Education Parent Information Night for Incoming 6th Graders
The Twin Peaks Middle School Administration, Program Specialist, and Special Education Department are happy to invite you to our Special Education School Parent Night for our incoming 6th graders with IEPs on March 29, 2023, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Via Zoom. The presentation will be recorded and posted to our website for parents who are not able to attend during this time.
The Twin Peaks Middle School Special Education Department is excited to provide families the opportunity to gain insight and information about the transition to middle school for students with IEPs. We will review the continuum of supports and services available at Twin Peaks as well as general information related to transitioning to and planning for middle school. Welcome Video for Incoming 5th Grade Families!
We are excited to welcome all of our incoming 5th grade families to Twin Peaks MS! Course Request Forms (CRFs) will be distributed to our feeder elementary schools on Monday, March 20th and are due back to your 5th grade teachers on Thursday, March 30th.
To help you with your course selections and to provide you with information to prepare for next year, please watch the video below to find out more about our school and the programs, classes, electives and oportunities we offer students here at TPMS. We hope you join us on Wednesday, March 22nd for our Electives Showcase and 5th Grade Information Night from 5-6pm here on campus. This is an opportunity for 5th grade families to visit the school, meet our teachers, and see what amazing things students are doing at Twin Peaks! We hope you can join us!!
**CORRECTION: Students do not need to enter their courses online! Please turn in the hard copy of your CRF to your teachers no later than March 30th!
WEB Application
Attention all 7th graders!
Are you interested in helping future 6th graders enjoy their first experiences at TPMS?
WEB, (Where Everybody Belongs), is a leadership program that helps new 6th graders get accustomed to our campus. Throughout the year we host various activities such as: 6th grade carnival, readers and leaders, 6th grade orientation, 5th grade visitations, belonging activities, volunteering on campus and an assortment of leadership development opportunities, to name just a few.
If you are a current 7th grader and are interested in being a WEB leader next year, please fill out THIS GOOGLE FORM to apply. Applications are due on or before Friday, April 28th. Late applications will not be accepted:)
If you are applying, you MUST select WEB as your #1 choice for your Elective on your CRF. Unfortunately, students may not apply for both WEB and ASB. You must choose which class best suits your personal leadership goals.
Everyone interested is invited to apply! Spread the word and get excited for your 8th grade year!!

Online Continuing Student Registration for the 2023-2024 school year is ongoing March 1st-31st. Please visit the Continuing Student Registration page to register your child(ren) for next school year.
High School Summer School Registration goes from March 13th through May 3rd. More information can be found here on Summer School Information page.

Attention: Parents/Guardians of 8th Grade Students
Students need to turn in their Course Request Form to their Language Arts teacher by Friday, March 24th and their course requests must be entered online by March 31st. Please encourage your student to keep their course request worksheet as they may not remember their choices in the fall.

March is Women's History Month

Since 1995, presidents have issued a series of annual proclamations designating the month of March as “Women’s History Month.” These proclamations celebrate the contributions women have made to the United States and recognize the specific achievements women have made over the course of American history in a variety of fields.
