Welcome to the 17th year of the first after school athletic team in school history.  That’s right, you have an opportunity to make school history and set the standards for future generations of Oak Valley Falcons.  The Oak Valley X-Country team is for any students that want to have fun, compete, be fit and be a part of a team.  You will have the opportunity to participate in some of the best x-country meets that Poway and Southern California have to offer.  All you need to do to join is have a great attitude and a willingness to work to achieve your goals.
Practices will be held Monday, Tuesday & Thursday after school from 2:55pm to 3:45pm.  There will be an activity bus that comes to the school at 4pm on practice days for those students that wish to take the bus home.
We will enter our athletes in the Bernardo Heights Invitational, , Meadowbrook Invitational, Twin Peaks Invitational, Mesa Verde Invitational, Rotary Fun Run (hopefully!) and the Mt SAC Invitational as well as host a meet at Oak Valley.  See the meet schedule for exact dates and times.
Mt SAC is on October 14th this year and we are planning on taking a charter bus to the meet.  Any parents that would like to attend are more than welcome to drive up to watch your child run but you will not be allowed to take the bus.  Your child may ride home with you but I will need written permission from you before you leave the meet.  There will be more information on Mt SAC to follow.
This program is not funded by PUSD.  Any and all transportation to and from the local meets (with the exception of Mt SAC) will have to be provided by the parents.
