Hello Falcon Families,

It is with great enthusiasm and excitement that I introduce myself as the new principal of Oak Valley Middle School.  I have a long history in the Poway Unified School District that begins all the way back to my first day of kindergarten at Westwood Elementary in Rancho Bernardo.  My first teaching job was as a social science teacher at Poway High School, and then I moved into an assistant principal position at Mt. Carmel High School, and most recently I have been an assistant principal at Poway High School.

I am a firm believer that all students should have access to a kind and caring educational institution where they feel safe and empowered to achieve their academic and personal goals.  My goal as principal is for students to leave Oak Valley as Forever Falcons with amazing memories, real world skills, and a lifelong love of learning.

I happily live in the community less than 3 miles away from the school.  My wife is a teacher in the district, and we have two girls ages 5 and 7.  In my spare time I like to travel both domestically and abroad, see any live music I can find, seek out adventures with my girls, and I am an avid gardener.  I look forward to partnering together for another successful school year.
