P.E. CLOTHES / LOANERS

ALL  STUDENTS NEED A CHANGE OF CLOTHES FOR PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASS!

Students are expected to be prepared for class by bringing a change of clothing.  They may not wear what they wore to school.  If students forget their P.E. clothes they may borrow a set of "loaners" from the Physical Education Department.  Use of loaners does affect their Citizenship grade.

If desired, Oak Valley P.E. Shirts and Shorts may be purchased at registration as well as throughout the year.  If students bring their own clothes from home it must be a plain crew neck t-shirt with sleeves and pair of shorts that reach just above the knees.  We will write their names on them.  Torn clothing or shorts with pockets are not allowed.  Girls may wear “leggings” as long as they wear their P.E. shorts over them.  Running shoes are highly encouraged.

A sturdy combination lock will be used to secure their belongings in the locker issued to them at the beginning of school.  Master locks are available for purchase.  Key locks are discouraged.

Insurance

Physical education classes and after school sports activities can be very rigorous and accidents occasionally occur. Because of this, parents are strongly encouraged to purchase personal injury insurance for your son/daughter.

The Poway Unified School District is not liable for any accidents that may occur during a school related activity. Insurance information is included in the first day packet or can be picked up in the counseling office.
