  •   Middle School Redesign

As part of the Middle School redesign process, our school has decided to pilot some ideas based on staff and student feedback. One identified area of need was student connectedness

To address this need, we will be piloting an advisory/homeroom period and a block schedule on Mondays and Tuesdays during the weeks between Thanksgiving Break and Winter Break, (November 28, 2022, to December 13, 2022).

This does not impact the start or end times of Meadowbrook or bus schedules. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will be the regular Meadowbrook Bell Schedule. Please see below.

Please note, this is just a pilot to gather staff and student feedback for those 3 weeks and we will resume the regular MBMS bell schedule when we return in January 2023

    Monday Bell Schedule: November 28th / December 5th / December 12th

    Tuesday Bell Schedule: November 29th / December 6th / December 13th

  •   Parent Letter – AB-104

Dear Parents/Guardians of Meadowbrook Middle School,

We recognize the pandemic has presented a number of challenges for many of our students. Offering options to help students who may have struggled with disrupted classroom routines is a priority for us at PUSD.

Accordingly, Assembly Bill 104 (AB 104) allows students to change their grades from a letter grade to a Pass or No Mark (NM).  The bill also allows for students in grades 6-8 who received grades D, F, or NM in at least half their classes to have the possibility of repeating their grade level in situations where it is appropriate and in the best interest of the student.  While this option won’t be appropriate for every student, it may provide an opportunity for some students to catch up. For questions or concerns about grade changes or retention, please contact your student’s counselor and/or administrator.

At Meadowbrook we want to work collaboratively to ensure decisions are made in the best interest of every student and their learning.
