Black Mountain Physical Education

What we Do

It is the goal of this physical education course to teach active lifestyles through fitness and skill development, participation in sport/activity, positive social and sportsmanship skills and good health practices that can be used to help students be successful for a lifetime. All classes will follow the California Education Content Standards (approved by the State Board of Education in January 2005.)

 

7th Grade:

  • 7th/8th Grade Football Unit (Trimester 1)

  • 7th/8th Grade Softball Unit (Trimester 3)

  • Individual/Dual Sports (Tennis, Track and Field Activities, Disc Golf, Golf, Badminton, Speedminton, Spikeball, & more)

  • Team Sports (Soccer, Basketball, Kickball, Volleyball, Street Hockey, Lacrosse, Team Handball, Ultimate, & more)

  • One day per week working out in the BMMS Fitness Lab

     

Seasonal Sports

  • Indoor Soccer
  • Racquetball
  • Lacrosse [LAX]
  • Football
  • Basketball
