Math at Black Mountain Middle School
Students will be using a math curriculum called CMP3.
We have two math levels – Math 6 and Compacted Math 6/7
- Math placement is based on Winter or Spring MAP scores
- Students who have a MAP score of 252 or above are automatically placed into the Compacted Math 6/7 course.
The major difference between the two courses is pace – both Math 6 and Math 6/7 cover the same 6th grade math content, but Math 6/7 will also cover the first half of Math 7.

Math Team meets on Friday's after school from 2:30 - 4:00 p.m. in Room 1017
