Alisa Berner

Counselor - HUB 3

Alisa Berner is proud to work in the Westview Counseling department since 2005. Alisa received her Bachelor of Science in Recreation Administration and a minor in Sociology from California State University, Chico. After working in restaurant management, she wanted to follow her passion of working with students, and went back to the University of San Diego to earn two Masters degrees; a M.A. in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling as well as a M.A. in Counseling with an emphasis in School Counseling.

Before joining Westview, Alisa worked at Rancho Buena Vista High School for 4 years where she provided students with educational, personal and social supports, while helping them achieve their academic and college/career aspirations.

Today, she continues to strive to offer best supports for students, advocating for them to realize their intellectual and personal potential. She believes in the importance of students maintaining a healthy balance in their school and personal life. Alisa lives in the PQ community and enjoys spending time with her family. In her spare time, she can be found heading to Utah and Colorado for skiing in the winter, or camping on the beach through the summer.
