Tina Ziegler

Tina has been an educator for a total of 34 years, and for the past 26 years as a proud member of the Poway Unified School District. During that time, she has served in many roles including Resource Specialist, Program Specialist, Assistant Principal at Westview High School, and Principal at Sunset Hills Elementary School. Tina’s three children were all educated in PUSD and are Westview alumni. The combined experience of being both a parent and teacher gives her a unique perspective regarding PUSD’s vision and educational initiatives.

Tina fully values the foundation upon Westview was built: personal connections, a homeroom for all students, built-in tutoring (Wolverine time), and open access to AP classes for all students. She is passionate about inspiring all staff to help our high school students find their own passion in an environment that allows for interactive lessons emphasizing critical thinking, strong communication, and collaborative skills.

Tina is a California native and moved to San Diego 27 years ago. She loves all the area has to offer, especially walks on the beach and being outdoors. Her favorite pastime is spending time with her family. She loves to both watch and participate in sports, and keeps active by swimming and running.
