Mt. Carmel Educational Foundation [MCEF]

MEETINGS  |  BOARD

Mission:

The specific mission of the Mt. Carmel Education Foundation (MCEF) is to provide Mt. Carmel High School students with valuable and rewarding educational and work experiences by maximizing community support and involvement both within and beyond the Mt. Carmel High School campus. The Mt. Carmel Education Foundation creates opportunities for students to gain practical work and educational experiences by seeking out and maintaining internships and partnerships with local and regional businesses. Additionally, MCEF coordinates and organizes fundraising opportunities for worthy educational projects, enrichment programs, and educational initiatives. In summary, through the efforts of the foundation, Mt. Carmel High School students learning experience will be enriched through connections to post-secondary opportunities and expanded educational opportunities.

Governance:

The Mt. Carmel High School Education Foundation is a non-profit organization governed by a volunteer board comprised of parents, faculty, and administrators. The Foundation invites all families, staff, and students to become involved in the Foundation through its events and fundraising activities throughout the year or by becoming a Board Member.

Supplement teacher needs:

MCEF coordinates and organizes fundraisers in order to fund educational projects that would otherwise not happen due to state budget cuts. The biggest portion of our funding comes from the parents of MCHS. We are currently looking for other fundraising opportunities. If you are interested in participating, please contact us.
The Foundation has been underway for five years. Already we have raised roughly $65,000 and have awarded funds to worthy projects such as: library books, PE equipment, computer lab equipment, English textbooks, and more. We have many more worthy projects that need funding. Please get involved!
