Textbook Replacement
If a textbook is lost or stolen, please speak to a library staff member for the correct ISBN of the book before purchasing a replacement.

Welcome to the Mt. Carmel High School Library

TEXTBOOK DO’S & DON’TS

DO show any damage not noted inside the book to the library staff within 30 days of checkout

DO cover your books. If you use book sox use XL as regular may damage the book.  It’s easier to tell which book is yours and       protects the book from damage.  Write your name inside the front cover.

DON’T use sticky book covers or use tape to stick the cover to the book.

DO keep your books in a safe place (home is best). You are responsible for paying for damage, or for the replacement cost of your books if they are lost or stolen.

DON’T leave books in your locker or car overnight. Locker break-ins happen. MCHS is not responsible for items stolen from lockers or cars.

DO use Post-It™ notes instead of writing inside the book. Remember to remove them before returning it.

DO return the book that was checked out to you in the same condition as when you received it.

DON’T repair a book yourself. Bring it to the library to get another one.

DO check with the library staff if you misplace your book for more than a few days. Success in class is important.
