DNHS Recognizes Black History Month!

Posted Date: 1/31/2019
Del Norte recognizes an annual celebration of accomplishments by African Americans who have played a main role in shaping U.S.. History during the month of February.
The month of February acknowledges African American women and men who have played a crucial role in the fight for freedom and equality throughout our history. The Nest will be making multiple announcements throughout the month to acknowledge these leaders who have made an enourmous impact during our past and present.
The official theme for this year's Black History month is "Black Migrations":
"Black Migrations emphasizes the movement of people of African descent to new destinations and subsequently to new social realities. While inclusive of earlier centuries, this theme focuses especially on the twentieth century through today".
