NIGHTHAWKS RUGBY FUNDRAISING SCHEDULE

The Nighthawks Rugby Football Club is is the same as all sports teams or clubs in the Poway Unified School District. It receives no funding from the district. That means our club must raise all the money it needs for uniforms, referees, equipment, clinics and other expenses. To do so the club really needs your help.

Nighthawks Rugby has teamed with the Del Sur Community Services Council again to earn funds for the club at eight seasonal events. During the 2017-2018 school year, Nighthawks Rugby raised nearly $4,500 our partnership with the DSCSC. The funds raised represent about one-third of the annual rugby club budget. The events are fun, with lots of young children and live music.

Before our season kicks off in Mid-November we have our biggest single fundraising event. The Del Norte High School Rugby Football Club will operates a snack bar at the Del Sur Community Services Council Fall Festival as well as provide volunteers to man the Pumpkin-Painting Station from noon-6 p.m. Oct. 21 and Oct. 22. The carnival-like event is the biggest DSCSC event of the year. Jumpers, midway games, petting zoo, live bands and Halloween costumes are just part of the fun. We will need a dozen or more players and adults to work the stand in two 3-hour shifts.
