Varsity Head Coach Teshona Bennett
 

Originally from Wisconsin, Teshona Bennett brings an immense amount of knowledge and experience in coaching at both the high school and collegiate level. Teshona has recently coached at Santa Fe Christian School, San Diego Christian College, and Beloit College. Teshona is a current club coach for San Diego Sol. In addition to coaching for the club, She also serves as the  Director of Business Sponsorship and Community Engagement.

Coach Bennett has been a part of a winning tradition throughout her coaching and playing career. As an assistant coach for the Whitewater Whippets Girls Basketball program, Coach Bennett helped lead the team to an undefeated season and a State Championship in 2015. She played at the collegiate level with the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, and was a part of the NCAA Final Four team. 

Coach Bennett is a motivated and competitive leader who wants to see all those around her succeed in all that they do. 

Coach Bennett is honored and excited to be able to step into this role as the next head coach at Del Norte High.

She earned a Master’s of Education degree in Athletic Administration, along with a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Coaching.

Coach Bennett has a 9 year old daughter named Nissi, who loves basketball, art and crafts, and swimming.
