2018 Nighthawk Aquatic Camps


  • Session 1 June 18 - June 29 $159.00                            
  • Session 2 July 2 - July 13 $143.00(4th OFF)       
  • Session 3 July 16 - July 27 $159.00                               
 Camps run Monday - Friday, 1 hour a day, for 2 weeks
 
Our instructors must assess participant’s technique before signing up for any camps. Please come to registration for an assessment.
 
Introduction to Competitive Swimming (7 - 16 years of age):
Geared toward transitioning from recreational swimming to competitive swimming. This class will introduce how to properly use starting blocks, pull-buoys, kick boards, paddles, fins and how to do flip-turns. Swimmers will form competitive swim strokes, free style, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly.
*Swimmers must be able to swim 50 yards without assistance*
9:00 - 10:00am
 
Water Polo (7 - 16 years of age):
Beginners or advanced participants will be introduced to or review the game of water polo. Skills included will be head up freestyle, treading water (eggbeater), passing, shooting, dribbling, ball control, and offensive and defensive positioning. Separate groups, both beginners and advanced levels will be created on day 1. When registering please let the register know what level your child may be at.
*Swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards without assistance*
10:05 - 11:05 & 2:00 - 3:00pm
  
Jr. Aquatic Camp(7 - 10 years of age):
Campers will explore competitive swimming, water polo, springboard diving, snorkeling, and basic water rescue skills.

11:10 - 12:10 & 3:10 - 4:10pm
 
Aquatic Camp (10 - 14 years of age):
Campers will explore competitive swimming, water polo, springboard diving, snorkeling, and basic water rescue skills. A great way to experience all high school aquatic activates!

11:10 - 12:10 & 3:10 - 4:10pm
 
Dive Camp (6+):  *Sessions TBA* 
Dive camp is open to all ages 6+ and will help kids learn the basics of diving in a fun way. They will learn skills such as fall-ins, jumps, dives, somersaults and they will have the opportunity to improve skills that they may already have. Everyone is welcome and no previous experience necessary.
*Swimmers must pass a 25 yard swim test without assistance*
