Dear Westwood Families,
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! I hope you had a very enjoyable summer creating happy and fun memories with your family. The beginning of August is always a very exciting time for each member of our school community. It is with great pleasure that I re-open the doors of Westwood Elementary to our beautiful children who arrive with such energy and enthusiasm as they anticipate a new school year filled with the love of learning.
This school year I look forward to continuing to work alongside our families and staff members so as to best meet the academic, social and emotional needs of all students. Engaging in a productive partnership with you to ensure our children achieve their highest potential remains a top priority for each educator at Westwood. We know a strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your child’s education. There will be numerous and ongoing opportunities for each family to be actively involved in their child’s education throughout the school year.
On Tuesday, August 16th we will be hosting New Family Orientation at 1 p.m. Kindergarten Orientation is at 1:30, and the Welcome to Westwood Party begins at 4 p.m. We are no longer able to post class lists. You will be receiving an email with details for the first day of school from their teacher. However, PTA will continue to host the Popsicle Party. This event will afford every family an opportunity to connect with all of the great things happening at Westwood and join our PTA. Back to School Night will begin at 5:30 P.M. and end at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday August 18th. More information will be provided as we approach this evening.
