Westwood’s Equity Team has worked with staff and students over the past year to build awareness. The goal of equity in our building is to honor the dignity and humanity of everyone in our community. That necessitates digging into the history, structures, and systems that brought us to our current student outcomes. The Team shared awareness building activities with staff throughout the year. Teachers then worked to develop this awareness in their own classrooms. We look forward to next steps in the months and year’s ahead.
