WILLOW GROVE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Home

We have some exciting news regarding our district’s TK program!  Beginning in the 2025-26 school year, PUSD Transitional Kindergarten will be a full-day program.  
The range of age-eligibility will also expand - children who turn four-years-old on or before September 1, 2025, will be age-eligible for TK.  (Students who turn five-years-old on or before September 1, 2025 will be age-eligible for Kindergarten).  Enrollment for TK for 2025-26 school year opens on April 1, 2025. Please feel free to share this news with your friends and neighbors who have children in this age range.

May continues to moves us along quickly to our last day June 12!
Last Saturday, May 10, the Willow Grove Foundation held its annual Gala, and it was an exciting event! Special thank you to all who participated in and organized the event! Willow Grove appreciates all you do for our learning community! Today, I hosted our "Principal of the Day" winner who asked me "Is this what you do all do day, walk around?"
This week we had lots of students participate in a wide variety of activities, including The San Diego Floating Lab (Marine Based Field Trip), San Dieguito County Park, and the Helen Woodward Animal Center. Our 4th and 5th grade students enjoyed showing off during the "Gold Rush Day" and "Colonial Day" on Wednesday, May 14. A shout out to our Volunteers!
Looking to next week, Willow Grove 5th Grade ASB students will be presenting briefly at the Poway Unified School District's Board Meeting and our CAASPP Testing continues in Mathematics. Thank you for your support for our 3rd through 5th graders!
