Arrival and Dismissal Procedures & Safety Reminders

Hello Cheetah Families,

I hope that this communication finds all of our families healthy and safe. Below you will find arrival and dismissal procedures for the 2020-2021 school year.

Arrival Procedures:

Grades 1st through 5th-Parking Lot Screening

  • Students in grades 1st through 5th will stay in vehicles (masks on) for temperature and screening questions by staff. If student temperature is 100 degrees or over we will recheck the temperature one more time. If the temperature remains over 100 degrees, the student and family goes home.

  • After screening, students will enter campus through the front office. They will use hand sanitizer before entering the campus.

  • Students screened will wait outside on social distancing markers until the teacher opens the door or if the door is open the student may go inside the classroom. We strongly encourage students to come as close to the start of school as possible.

Grades TK/K and Walkers-Front Gate Screening

  • Only TK/K parents will park. Students will line up at the front gate on the social distancing markers. Siblings may also be with them. One parent is encouraged to escort TK/K students to the gate. TK/K Teachers will meet students at the gate.

  • Screening questions and temperature will be taken before entering campus. If student temperature is 100 degrees or over we will recheck the temperature one more time. If the temperature remains over 100 degrees, the student and family goes home.

  • Students walking to school will go to the isolation area if students have Covid-19 related symptoms and/or their temperature is 100 degrees or more to be picked up by a parent.

  • Walkers cleared will enter campus through the front office. They will use hand sanitizer before entering the campus.

Due to an increase in staffing and continued limited parking, the school parking lot will be for staff only, with the exception of families who purchased a parking spot at the STARs event, or families displaying a handicap placard. We have approximately 55 parking spaces and over 60 staff members.

Dismissal Procedures:

AM-TBES and TPMS Parking Lot

  • Staff members will walk and stay with students to specific locations outside until they are all picked up at either the TBES parking lot or the TPMS parking lot.

  • Teachers will communicate to families which parking lot they will be located in for dismissal.

  • Parents with multiple kids may need to enter both parking lots.

  • Students walking home will be dismissed to go home once outside.

  • ESS students will be dismissed to ESS.

PM-TBES Parking Lot

  • Teachers will walk and stay with students to specific locations outside until they are all picked up.

  • Teachers will communicate to families which lot they will be located in.

  • Students walking home will be dismissed to go home once outside.

Dropping off after the school day has begun and picking up early:

Parents who are dropping off after the school day has begun or checking their child out early, may park in one of the two marked visitor spaces.
