CALLING ALL P.E. FANS!
Are you interested in helping with physical education next year? In addition to upgrading the playground facilities, we are updating and upgrading the games available on the playground and we would like parent volunteers to help us out in the fall when it's time to teach all the new games to the kids. We are putting together a PEP Squad! That's right - a squad of Physical Education Parents! We already have the curriculum and equipment and we will provide training...all we need are parents who have enthusiasm for playground games. If you're interested, please email Danielle Allphin at danielleallphin@gmail.com with PEP Squad in the email subject line. See you on our fresh, new playground in the fall!

FAMILY ART WALK AND PICNIC – TUESDAY, JUNE 11TH
We hope that you will all be able to join us for our 12th Annual Art Walk and Family Picnic on Tuesday, June 11th.  The Art Walk and Family Picnic will begin at 11:00 AM and will end at 12:15 PM.  Don’t forget your chairs, blankets, shade, and favorite lunch treats.  The schedule for the event is as follows:

  • 9:45 – 10:45 Awards Ceremony*

  • 10:45 – 11:00 Transition from awards ceremony back to classroom.  Parents pick up students from classroom, walk the art show, and go out to field to eat lunch

  • 11:00 – 11:30 Lunch and Art Show Walk

  • 11:30 -12:15   Mad Science Assembly (on blacktop)

  • 12:15 – 12:25 Classes dismissed back to their classrooms to prepare for dismissal

  • 12:25              Dismissal

*Based on weather forecast, Awards Ceremony may be moved to MPR if needed.  Parents of students receiving an award will be notified via a Connect Ed message.

While we understand that many families attend the picnic and want to leave campus with their child directly from the blacktop, we request your support in following the program listed above.  This will allow us to ensure student safety and account for all students throughout the event.  In the event that you have to check your child out early, please do so in the front office so that we are able to account for all students and notify their teachers accordingly.  Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

SCHOOL LUNCH ACCOUNTS
Please see the information below from our Food and Nutrition department:
Nutrition Account Funds will Carry Over to Next School Year
All funds in your child’s nutrition account will be carried over to the next school year as long as your student remains enrolled in the District.

Nutrition Account Transfers or Refunds.
Parents/guardians may also have remaining funds transferred to a sibling’s account or request a refund by completing a refund request form that can be found on our webpage at www.powayusdnutrition.com under frequently used forms.  Parents should also disable any automatic payments set-up through MySchoolBucks at https://www.MySchoolBucks.com  to ensure your student’s account will not be reloaded.
