Updates Bulletin

Good Evening Cheetah Families,
This is Mandy Bedard, principal of Tierra Bonita, with your weekly announcements.
It’s that time of the year when our school district turns to its stakeholders and asks, “How are we doing?”  Hence, parents have the opportunity to provide feedback and have their voices heard. We all want the very best for our students; let’s work together to make it happen!

Please strongly consider attending Tierra Bonita’s LCAP workshop this Thursday, February 15th from 6-7:30pm in the multipurpose room. Our goal is to have at least one parent stakeholder attend from each class on campus to ensure solid representation from our school.

If providing your voice in the process isn’t motivating enough… there will be door prizes and some refreshments from Panera Bread (since it is our fundraiser day at Panera). Come on out with your peers to do some good work for our school and our school district!
Please see the attached flyer for more information.
Our lost and found rack is overflowing!  Please stop by and check to see if your child has any missing items on the lost and found rack.  Items not collected by this Friday, February 16th will be donated to charity.
Our team is growing!  We currently have 80 people signed up for Team Tierra Bonita Cheetahs.  Our goal is to hit 100 team members and our deadline is Monday, February 19thWe invite all families to join us on this special day. If you want to join the Tierra Bonita Cheetahs team and finish Chelsea’s run, click on the link to register:
Once on the registration page, don’t forget to join the team, Tierra Bonita Cheetahs!
Students will be recognized for Fairness at Friday Flag and will receive their orange t-shirt on Thursday at lunch.  Students being recognized for fairness should wear their shirt to school on Friday.  If your child has been recognized for trustworthiness, respect, or responsibility, please have him/her wear his/her shirt on Friday.  We would like to see the rainbow of colors for all of the traits that have been recognized thus far:
Please be on the lookout for the reminder flyer on Thursday.
Parents, join your 3rd grade student this Thursday, February 15th at 12:05 PM in the lunch arbor for lunch!  Bring a healthy lunch and enjoy this special time with your student!  See you there!
Please join us at Panera in Carmel Mountain Ranch on Thursday between 4:00 and 8:00 pm. Is that a busy night for you? Good news, they now have a drive thru! Present the attached flyer (hard copy or electronic) and they’ll donate 20% back to our school.
Our Cheetah’s are doing an amazing job with their read-a-thon logs!  We hope that the read-a-thon has helped to spark more excitement for reading in our kids.  The last log is due this coming Friday, February 16th.
Thank you to our community for supporting the book fair over the last week.  Couldn’t find time to shop on campus?  No Problem!  Follow the link below to do on-line book fair shopping through February 13th.  Our school/PTA will still benefit from these sales.  There is no shipping charge and the books will be delivered to school after the February break.  Happy shopping!  http://www.scholastic.com/bf/tbes
