Dear Sundance Families and Community,
On behalf of our staff at Sundance Elementary, I am happy to welcome you and your wildcat(s) to the
2021/2022 school year! It’s an honor to continue to serve as principal of such a top-notch, tight-knit
community that is highly regarded for its academic excellence and innovation. We have eagerly
anticipated the full reopening of our campus and cannot wait to have our wildcats back in our
classrooms! Our continued emphasis on social-emotional learning, targeted small group instruction,
and innovative practices will undoubtedly help our students thrive academically, socially, and
emotionally.
In my role, I believe in leading with my heart and collaborating closely with our community. As your
principal, I appreciate and value open and ongoing communication. My door is always open and I’m
just an email or phone call away so don’t hesitate to stop by!
To our new families, welcome to Sundance! Click here to view a short video (also embedded below)
about my background, philosophy, and a read aloud. Your wildcat is welcome to join! To our returning
families, we are so excited to see you in a few weeks.

With warm regards,
Mrs. Raquel Katz
Principal
