Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year!  This is the start of my eighth year serving as your principal at Sundance Elementary.  Working with our school community has been one of the biggest blessings of my educational career!

At Sundance we are committed to preparing all of our students to lead happy, healthy, and productive lives.  Our goal is to have all students strive to become informed citizens who are ready to thrive in the 21st Century.  Our school’s priority is to provide a safe learning environment where students are supported academically, emotionally, socially, and physically to reach their full potential.

At Sundance, we provide students with a balanced educational program that provides strong foundational skills that are grounded in the basics and blended with multiple opportunities to apply those skills in real life situations.  This year we look to add more opportunities for students to have “voice and choice” in their learning.   We are also adding Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) to strengthen and support the growth of our students’ character. We will continue to provide our kids with opportunities to participate in the arts, music, band, chess, running club, P.E., science competitions in addition to being fully immersed in the state curriculum.

Parent and community involvement play an integral role in the success at Sundance.  Our Twin Trails Education Foundation works closely with staff to support and enrich our school programs.  At Sundance, we are proud of our entire school community for their help in making our school a place where children thrive and are given multiple opportunities to succeed now and into the 21st Century.

Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions.  Here’s to the best school year ever!
