Safety Reminder

SUNDANCE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIAN SAFETY GUIDE
Welcome to Sundance!  If you have approached the campus close to the start or ending time, you know that our parking lot can be busy and that the traffic flow has changed this year. This information has been created to help the flow of traffic and the safety of pedestrians.
Please discuss the following policies with your child for his/her cooperation and understanding.  Our intent is to ensure that every child is delivered and picked up safely.  With everyone’s cooperation and patience, we can make this goal a reality.
We are looking for more parent volunteers who would be willing to help with the flow of traffic each morning.  These parents would assist the children in getting in and out of the car efficiently, allowing traffic to keep moving.  Please call the office if you are willing to help at least one day a week.

PARKING LOT ETIQUETTE
  • Please drive slowly.
  • Follow the Golden Rule with other drivers and staff members. Remember that you are not the only one in a hurry.
  • Please do NOT get out of the car to assist or escort your child.
  • Pull up to the curb before the blue crosswalk before dropping off or picking up your child.
  • Pull up close to the car in front of you.
  • Please refrain from using cell phones while driving in the parking lot.
